a
parent writes after his
son committs to college … “just
wanted to say another
thank you for the work
with (my son). He
has had a fantastic experience
with University Lacrosse.
As you know when he came
to your program he was
in 9th grade and had
just picked up the stick.
Within three years, he
has improved to the point
of receiving over 63
serious contacts from
D1- D3 colleges. I do
not think he would have
received this type response
if he had not trained
and played with U-Lax.
I still do not know if
he has even come close
to his full potential.
We will see as he progresses
through college. …
Thanks for all you have
done and the opportunity
you gave him. He would
love to be included on
your scroll of recruits
on your web site. Thanks We
will continue to push
U-Lax and (my son) would
love to help you teach
in the future. Thanks

a
high-school coach writes
to one of his player’s
parents about the prospects
of training with University
and playing with Edge
USA … “That
could be big for him,
University runs a very
impressive organization
and is probably the strongest
club organization in
the state”.

a
parent writes after the
1st night of training … “Thank
you! (…My
son) … is very
serious about becoming
the best he can be and
he commented on the way
home last night how much
he really enjoyed the intense
shooting drills. When
you gave him the first "wall
Drills" two years
ago, he worked them relentlessly,
and am sure he will do
the same with these. I
appreciate the opportunities
that you have made available
to him, and look forward
to next Monday night!”

a player comments
on training … “Coach,
Did you send out new homework?
Thanks and see you Monday.
4 goals today at Overlea...2
overhand runners!”
.....................................................
an attackman’s
father comments about defensive
training … “Thanks
for all of your
help. He has really learned
a lot at the defensive
checking camp”.
.....................................................
a parent comments
about communication … “You
all are great”.
.....................................................
a player comments
about defensive training … “I
really love this. After
finishing in
here (training), I get
to go out on Sundays and
use all of this. Last Sunday
I stripped the ball
away and created 3 turnovers.
It was great!”.
.....................................................
a grandfather comments
about training … “I
take him to class and loved
your first
session, and more important
so did (my grandson)”.
.....................................................
a parent comments on training
and homework … “I
brought (my son’s) "homework"
to the office and scanned
it in. I have attached
it for your review and
records. (My son) is
loving the intense hour
of shooting, and your instruction.
Thank you for all of your
help and
support.
.....................................................
a parent
comments on training homework … “Thanks
Coach. (My son) was
feeling it last night so
these stretches and workouts
will be good.
.....................................................
a parent’s
comments on training … “(My
son) did it again this
past weekend. He is
riding great and stripping
defenders in almost every
ride, and these kids are
older than him.
It’s fun to watch
him play”. This is
an attackman taking The
Art of Throwing Checks
training.
a player’s
comments on training … “(In
a 7 to 4 game this past
week) I took 6
shots and scored 5 times.
This really works”.
a player’s
comments on training … “I
have stopped scoring in
my games at school.
I think it is because I
am constantly going against
a varsity defenseman this
year instead of
the weaker freshmen defensemen
I went against last year.
The defenders have quicker
feet and make it
impossible to get open”.
The primary defender he
spoke of is currently taking
The Art of Throwing Checks
training.
.....................................................
a player comments
about training … “I
played on Sunday and scored
4 goals and
had 4 assists. I was in
on 8 of the 14 goals my
team scored. I’ve
never been able to play
like this before”.
.....................................................
a parent comments
on training … “(My
son) scored 4 goals in
his game this
weekend. (out of 5 shots,
no assists). He is taking
exactly what he learns
with from to the
field. He’s deliberate,
focused, and whatever you’re
doing, it is really working”.
.....................................................
on 10/08 a parent
writes about special training … Coach,
it sounds like your time
(in
training) was very well
received. I am copying
the text I got from (my
son’s) advisor that
she
sent me on another subject. “PS
It sounds like the lacrosse
clinic yesterday was a
huge hit.
(Another student) said
he learned more about checking
in that one hour that he
had in his
whole career. Wow.” (My
son) really enjoyed it
as well. He would love
to play with your
team …
.....................................................
a parent writes
about playing club … “BTW,
we met with Coach Campbell
from
Middlebury last week and
he was very complimentary
when (my son) told him
he was playing
on your team this fall”.
.....................................................
a parent writes
about training … “Coach
Kennedy, Great class last
night. (my son)…enjoyed
it a lot. Please don't
forget to send us the homework
for last week as well as
this week. Thank you again!”
.....................................................
a parent writes
about training … “I'm
glad that he decided to
play in November,
too, because however much
he enjoys playing football,
you can just tell by looking
at him with
a stick in his hand how
deeply he loves lacrosse.
These past 2 Wednesdays,
even just at the
training sessions, he has
been so happy. He … (and
2 buddies) … have
stayed after both
weeks just to play around
a little, even knowing
how much work he still
has to do each night.
Yeah, it's fun! Thanks
for being so supportive”.
.....................................................
a player writes
about the effect of his
1 st week of training … “Mr.Kennedy,
we won
our game Saturday night
13 to 5. I had 3 goals.
I took 5 shots. Did ok.
See you Saturday”
