Two New Indoor Arenas for ULAX
Baltimore based University Lacrosse is dramatically enhanced with two
new facility agreements:  2 Indoor Arenas, 1 Outdoor Grass Turf Field

Baltimore Lutheran School of Towson Recognizes ULAX’s Considerable
Contributions in Advancing Area High-School & Middle-School Players
Baltimore, MD, December 1, 2006:  Baltimore Lutheran School and
University Lacrosse have reached a long-term agreement for University
Lacrosse to set up its Training Center and Playing Center within Baltimore
Lutheran’s Towson based facilities.  Beginning as early as December 6, ULAX
middle-school and high-school boy lacrosse players from around the State will
be advancing their games dramatically through the recently struck
agreements.  University Lacrosse is considered by many to be the best-of-
breed advanced skills development lacrosse organization and instructional
program in the country.

With this agreement, beginning the summer 2007, ULAX, as it is popularly
called, will be able to offer its advanced training to middle-school and high-
school girls as well.    “ULAX and Baltimore Lutheran share a commitment to
helping the young people in the community reach their fullest potential”
expressed Vernon Walsh, Director of Business and Finance at Baltimore
Lutheran.    “This partnership will help both organizations reach out to and
impact the young people of our community in incredibly positive ways.
Baltimore Lutheran looks forward to working with George Kennedy and his
ULAX program”.

On the boys’ side of the game, University has successfully managed to put
together teaching, training and playing programs in a way that excites players
and encourages and supports their development.  ULAX has participated in, as
well as sponsored, National Recruiting Tournaments, including the recently
applauded Top 16 Fall Shootout, which brought 13 of the nation’s Top 16
boys’ high-school club teams onto Baltimore’s Spear Field in Mt Washington.
The “Top 16”, already recognized as one of the premier recruiting events of
the year, was the brainchild of University Lacrosse, and was delivered in
partnership with Tony Seaman, head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Towson
University.

“We are very excited about the prospects of having a permanent home for the
kids to recognize as a base of operations for our programs” says Coach
George Kennedy, Director of University Lacrosse.  “We push our top kids to
the top spots in college today” Kennedy elaborated, “and it is just great to
have the philosophical bonding with Baltimore Lutheran to be able to house
those efforts permanently in one location”.  Over the past 3 years, University
staff has been forced to move between as many as 8 locations in their efforts
to deliver advanced training to area high-school lacrosse players.

“We take our hats off to the kids and parents for their intestinal fortitude in
sticking with us with all of that movement” said Kennedy.  “Now, we are thrilled
to have a home for our players and the significance of that, and are equally
thrilled that it is with such great folks as are over at Baltimore Lutheran”.

“This is a win-win scenario for all parties concerned” stated Spencer Ford,
2006-2007 Training Coordinator for the lively University programs.  “Now there
is no limit to the heights we can take these kids.  All we need to do now is get
the word out”.
